The Best Homemade Fudge, Ice Cream and Taffy in the North Woods. The staff are Friendly, Courteous and Knowledgeable. A must stop when in Minocqua. 😋

Been going here for vacation candy since I was “knee high to a grasshopper,” as my mom used to say. The selection of hard candy has waned over the years as they’ve introduced more taffy and behind the counter treats, but it’s still one of those magical, smell-good, feel-great places to visit for treats.

A must stop whenever we are up North. Crazy selection of Taffy and fudge made fresh on site along with their icecream parlor in the back. We're sold.

We loved the fudge and meltaways. The shop was adorable and clean. The customer service could be better. The girl helping us definitely wished she was somewhere else. I kind of felt like I was bothering her, but I spent 50 bucks and could of been sold more if she would have recommended any at all.

Classic Wisconsin tourist trap. Absolutely the best fudge and candy in town. If you are accompanying small children get them addicted to this sugar castle.

Everyone and their mother sells fudge in Wisconsin but Dan's stands out from them all. You can't go wrong picking out sweets here and the addition of the homemade ice cream in recent years was the best descision ever! They alternate flavor assortment every week which is refreshing and the wallpaper in the parlor is absolutely stellar. Always a lot of staff on hand too, ready to assist.

Strawberry ice cream was the best 😍

I gave it 4 states only because we just tried the ice cream. However, the ice cream was excellent! A number of unique flavors done well. Some of the best butter pecan I've ever eaten.

Very good fudge and candy assortments bought some and really enjoyed.

It is a phenomenal placewith great food. They make the fudge and taffy right before your eyes! It is truly a spectacle to behold. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is in the area.

Saltwater Taffy selection is INSANE. It is a delicious trap. Double chocolate Caramel, S'mores, Strawberry Banana, Key Lime Pie, Carrot Cake, Banana Split, Berries and Cream, Pumpkin Pie, Caramel Apple, Cupcake something... ohhhh yum. I recommend stopping here just to stock up on goodies for your trip.

Great place. Said know Because they were out of Better become ice cream it was a family favorite they want gitney until Friday but we left Friday morning.

This place is a staple to Minocqua’s downtown, and is a shop I’ve gone to since we started coming up here in the summers during my childhood. Aside from the nostalgia factor, the fudge, candy, and ice cream is all phenomenal. I can’t recommend Dan’s highly enough.

Had a bowl of ice cream, key lime pie for one scoop and blueberry for another.Delicious, completely enjoyed the ice cream .They were making peanut brittle and that also looked delicious.The chocolate, fudge and candy also looked very tasty.The prices were very reasonable I will go back again

Homemade candy store just like the old days. Hand dipped hard icecream made in house. Fudge and chocolate delight. Taffy and hard candy by the pound. I'd take a picture but I ate it.

Great lots of taffy but not much other candy

Yum! That only have the Sweet Treats delicious in this place, but the place smells fabulous as well! The staff is very friendly, and they have a variety of sweet treats for all ages. Probably don't want to enter this place if you're on a diet. Delicious!

Love to go here. It is a family tradition when we are in the Northwoods. Endless taffy flavors. Yummy fudge and ice cream.

Dan’s Fudge in Minocqua, Wisconsin has the best salt water taffy anywhere ! It is very fresh and so delicious. They have over 50 flavors.I just Love it !!!!! It is perfect salt water taffy !!! I live 350 miles away from Dan’s which is bad for my taste buds butgood for my weight !!! My brother in law asked where I got it. I had to put it in a cabinet and outof sight before he ate it all !!!I will probably be ordering some to be sent to me soon !Scrumptious!!!

Nice small town Candy Store, both of us made purchases, even thought we went at different times. It worth a visit.

Salt Water Taffy is the best after the fudge.

Dan’s was my very first job over 20+ years ago. I moved up to WI with my sister and brother-in-law back in ‘95. So I have never heard of half of the candy Dan’s was selling. I remember going into Dan’s for my interview and coming out with a bag of candy. Dan wanted me to taste the candy so if I was askedhow did it taste I was able to let them know. I so need to go back and visit. Thanks Dan for my first job!!!!

Best cashew bear claws!

They are very generous with their scoop sizes and ice cream prices, plus they make it all in house. Very good ice cream and a really fair price. One scoop is plenty big so make sure you have a big appetite if you want two scoops! And if you buy a waffle cone they put a malt ball in the bottom. They also make their own waffle cones. Second time I went they did not have waffle cones which was a bummer. I would suggest that they always have those available!!
